Board members gathered in Ottawa, Ontario where they met with industry leaders and government officials, including Senator Paul Prosper, the Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister of Northern Affairs, Deputy Minister Annette Gibbons from the Department of Fisheries and Oceans and Chief Evan Taypotat from Kahkewistahaw First Nation.

During the two days of meetings, the Board also met with representatives from the Public Service Commission to learn about Indigeneity in the Public Service and Julie Pellerin of the Assembly of First Nations to learn about their recently released report “Closing the Infrastructure Gap by 2030.”

The Board also met with representatives from the Métis National Council, the First Nations Major Projects Coalition, the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario, Global Affairs, NACCA and others.
